The second wedding of the year… and it was fantastic! Alex and Adam’s wedding had something new for me, a twist- I didn’t meet either one of them till the day before their wedding. Alex and Adam are both in the Coast Guard and were stationed in Florida and Georgia, so between busy schedules, being underway, and just life we weren’t able to meet up until the day before. We had talked plenty via email and phone calls, but when it came to finally meeting them in person… I was nervous! I mean, what if they didn’t like me?!
But here’s the amazing thing about Alex, Adam, their families, and all of their friends… they are all amazing. I have never felt so welcomed and cared for by a group of people ever. Meeting them all was immediate hugs, jokes, laughter, and just absolute FUN! Not to mention that you could just feel the love from everyone when you walked into a room. Seriously, it was the most uplifting and heartwarming feeling ever. Plus, I was actually asked to DANCE at the reception! What?! Who asks the photographer to dance?! Amazing!
Congratulations Alex and Adam! I am so honored to have been your photographer! I know you two have so, so, so many years of love, happiness, and lots of family time ahead of you!

These shots below was probably my favorite moment from Alex and Adam’s wedding… after Alex slipped Adam’s wedding band on, she held his hand, placed her thumb on his ring, and just slowly rubbed her thumb over it and smiled. It was the smallest, most subtle thing, but it honestly brought tears to my eyes. I love these little moments. For me, these little moments is what makes photographing weddings so beautiful.
